Saundersfoot is a small village which still retains its character from years ago. It has sandy beaches at Coppet Hall, the main village beach and Monkstone on the other side of its little harbour. There are shops, pubs and restaurants and a lively sailing club all within easy walking distance. There is accommodation within the village itself but many people prefer to be just outside of the village for a slightly quieter spot but still within easy reach of the village when you want that hustle and bustle. It is a fine base for anywhere in Pembrokeshire really as Tenby is just three miles away, Wisemans Bridge which can be walked to via the old railway tunnels and further afield to Haverfordwest, Pembroke, St. Davids and many other small villages. There are excellent castles in Carew, Pembroke, Manorbier and other less well preserved ones in other places such as the little boutique town of Narberth. It is also very convenient for theme parks such as Oakwood, Folly Farm, Manor Park Zoo and Heatherton so there is plenty to do.
